6 GUIDING PRINCIPLES - Teaching & Learning CCE -  Every teacher a CCE teacher Teachers will: - role model and create learning opportunities to shape and instil in every pupil the core values. - develop in each of them a sense of self-worth and confidence, a spirit of resilience, care and compassion for others - take ownership of their professional development to equip themselves with expertise and competencies to nurture every pupil to become active citizens of good character

11 COMPONENTS IN CCE Curriculum Time (Primary) ComponentRefers to CCE Lessons (CCE MT/EL)  Teaching of values, knowledge and skills for CCE in Mother Tongue Languages Taught in English for those who are taking non-Tamil Indian Languages and for those exempted from Mother Tongue

12 COMPONENTS IN CCE Curriculum Time (Primary) ComponentRefers to CCE Lessons (CCE MT/EL) FAMILY TIME A segment in CCE lessons - provides suggestions for activities that allow parents to bond with their children and support CCE - Introduced in 2014 with the Primary 1 and 2 CCE curriculum to engage parents as partners to inculcate values in our pupils. - Implemented in all levels starting 2015
