What is Phi Chi? An International Co-ed Medical Fraternity with chapters in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, and England that provides a common meeting ground for students who have common interests and goals ΦΧ

Alumni Many chapters have active alumni associations at their medical schools. Fraternal friendships with alumni are often like political ones - if you know the right people and have the right contacts, it can make all the difference. ΦΧ

Awards Annually, Phi Chi recognizes outstanding member by giving national awards, such as Eben J. Carey Award in Anatomy & Michael J. Carey Award for Service ΦΧ

Student Loans The Phi Chi Welfare Association provides low interest rate loans to Junior and Senior members on a need basis. ΦΧ

Housing Chapters traditionally offer low rent housing to their members which is not only affordable, but is also often conveniently located near the medical school. ΦΧ

Support System Phi Chi provides the intangible and priceless benefits of friendships. Your Phi Chi chapter can provide you with the support system and sense of family you need while away from home. ΦΧ

Requirements ? ● Initiation Fees ● Membership Card ● Shingle ● International membership ΦΧ

Initiation fees There is a one-time National Registration Fee that covers your membership for the entire four years of medical school. Chapter dues are established by each individual chapter ΦΧ

Membership Card Each initiated member receives an official membership card and is expected to retain it in his possession. ΦΧ

Shingle Each member receives an engraved, hand calligraphized, shingle suitable for framing to hang in a room or office. ΦΧ

Chapter Requirements ● Communicate regularly with the Central Office via national officers ● Submit the Annual Chapter Report ● Submit articles to the Phi Chi Chronicles ● Keep handy a copy of the Constitution for members perusal ● Elect delegates to the Grand Chapter ΦΧ
