Hinge Joints These allow movement in ONE direction only Examples Elbow, knee, fingers, toes © HEB

Ball and Socket Joints These allow movement in ALL directions Examples Hip, shoulder © HEB

Ligaments hold the bones together and prevent dislocation Did you know? If someone’s ligaments are loose, we say they are double-jointed © HEB
