-ar Verb Conjugating Spanish has 3 kinds of verbs: –ar verbs (hablar = to speak) –ar verbs (hablar = to speak) –er verbs (comer = to eat) –er verbs (comer = to eat) –ir verbs (vivir = to live) –ir verbs (vivir = to live) infinitive = a verb that ends in –ar, –er, or –ir stem = infinitive minus the –ar, –er, or –ir ending conjugating = stem + new ending (based on the subject of your sentence)
