Use the data on page 202 to find a sine function to fit it. Ex 1 - amplitude - vertical shift - period - (12 months)

horizontal shift - We know the period is 12, so we can divide that into 4 sub-intervals sine increases then decreases So there is a max at x=3 But the data says there is a max at x=7 (July) So, we have to move the max 4 units to the right to match up! x becomes (x-4) Finally! The equation is…
