3 Galatians 5 14 …all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.“ 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

4 Galatians 5 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Hatred – lack of love, producing contentions and strifes

Contentions – disputes where there is strong disagreement

Jealousies – an intense interest for another's honor or prosperity

Outbursts of wrath – anger or animosities between contending factions, the usual effect of forming parties

Dissensions – disagreements among those expected to cooperate

Heresies – denotes divisions or schisms in the church

Envy – spite and resentment at seeing the success of another

Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips, (RSV) Malign – to speak harmful untruths about; speak evil of; slander; defame: to malign an honorable man misinterpreting the words or actions of others putting the worst construction on their conduct
