Ever heard of a trophy for reading? You have now

Who can be involved? Any Victorian school 2-4 students in teams from years: 3 & 4 5 & 6 7 & 8 9 & 10

How does it work? 4 books read - voted on by schools beforehand (mix of Australian and international books, genres and gender interest) 4 questions per book Creative round on one book

Scoring 1 point per question (4 questions x 4 books = 16 points) 8 points creative round = 24 points

Q & A rounds These are ‘remembering’ questions - LOTS e.g. Was Harry Potter’s mother magic born or Muggle born? What colour eyes does Harry Potter have?

Creative round Using HOTS to creatively interpret and present book. Using tech tools to present the interpretation Explicit criteria - 1 point each

Creative round Must use one of the following (or similar) Other options are encouraged via discussions with the Readers’ Cup convenor

Winners! One team from each section wins. Holds trophy at school for one year Each student from winning team gets a selection of books
