Group Lessons Marine Biology Mr. Hoyle Ch. 14 Coral Reefs Ch. 15 Life Near the Surface Ch. 16 The Ocean Depths

The Groups Groups of 3 or 4. Each group is responsible for a section of a chapter (14, 15, or 16) Your task is to teach your section to the class.

Lesson Planning Read your chapter and become experts on your section. Prepare a lesson to teach to the class. Include a short, fun activity. Create a visual aid to help with your instruction: It should be inviting to look at, creative, and interesting! It can be interactive, colorful, have moving parts, pictures, images, sound, etc. Write 5 test questions (and answers) for the quiz.

Class Time You will be given some time in class (four days) to prepare, design, and create your lesson. Tips: 1. Learn the topic first 2. Plan your lesson 3. Create it. Don’t try to do it in reverse order Preparation = Professionalism

The Lesson You will give your lesson on Tue, Wed, Thu before the chapters test. Be prepared…it will show Rehearse it beforehand to make sure it’s not too long or too short. I’ll grade you on: How well you teach the lesson Activity Visual aid 5 quiz questions
