2 Cell organelles build, package, export, and recycle products as directed by directions in DNA. Nucleus: DNA has code for making proteins. Molecules carry instructions fr. DNA through nuclear envelope to ER (connected to nuc. envelope) Ribosomes docked on ER (rough ER) make proteins that are packaged in the ER and modified Products made by E.R. are transported out of cell by vesicles that pinch off E.R. and fuse w/ Golgi and/or plasma membrane.
