9 9 High Performance Computing Project A program of the Council’s National Innovation Initiative Objective: Stimulate and facilitate wider usage of HPC across the private sector to propel productivity, innovation and competitiveness. Approach Determine whether the private sector is using HPC as aggressively as it could and should. –If not…why not: business & technical barriers Explore the role of public-private sector partnerships to address barriers Leverage government investment in HPC R&D, systems and expertise to advance industrial and national competitiveness
