4 Leadership Experiences Goals 2004 – To learn to recite the 4-H Pledge in front of an audience. 2005 - To run for an officer for my club. 2006 – Served as a volunteer teen leader for my 4-H Club. 2007 – Led a 3 day cooking class for 10 4-H kids in my community Within the 6 pages of experiences Include 4-H and non 4-H (as long as it is related )

5 Activities 2004 – Led the 4-H pledge at my club meeting. 2005 – Ran for the office of secretary in my 4-H club and spent $4.00 on my campaign. 2006 – Volunteered to served as a volunteer teen leader for my 4-H club. 2007 – Led a 3 day cooking class for 10 4-H kids in my community.

6 Knowledge and skills gained 2004 - Learned to recite the 4-H pledge and lead it in front of an audience. 2005 – Learned how to run for an office and present a campaign speech. 2006 – Learned how to assist the club leader as a teen leader for my 4-H club. 2007 – Learned how to organize, advertise, write lesson plans and lead a 3 day cooking class for younger 4-H kids.

9 Citizenship Experiences Goal 2006 – To help in establishing the 911 system in my county 2007 – To do something special for the elderly. Activities 2006 – Helped 3 elderly ladies put up their E-911 signs so that the ambulance can locate their home easier. 2007 – My 4-H club and I hosted a Bingo party for the patients at the Saluda Nursing Center. Knowledge and Skills Gained 2006 – Learned the importance of E-911 signs and how they help the ambulance service, 2007 – How young people and be a benefit to the elderly in their community.

11 Project Experiences Dairy Project Goals 2006 – To show a dairy heifer at the fair. Activities 2000 -Went to the 4-H Dairy Showmanship Clinic that was held at the Cattle Arena in Saluda. - Showed at the Saluda Fair -- Won 1 st place in showmanship and 1 st place in the Junior Calf class. Knowledge and Skills Gained 2006 - Learned to groom and show a dairy heifer. Goat Project Goals 2006 – To raise a wether goat through 4-H. Activities 2006 – Purchased a goat through the State 4-H Wether Project at $65.00. --Purchased a registered doe and showed it at the Saluda 4-H Show winning $15.00. Knowledge and Skills Gained 2006 – Learned to properly care for and show a goat.

15 Part 2 Tell about the each section of your portfolio Begin with the most impressive activity; something with leadership and you most important project area State how 4-H helped you learn things about this subject you didn’t know before, how your project grew in size and scope, and some things you tried successfully and unsuccessfully.

16 Part 3 Highlight other 4-H projects and activities including major learning experiences, special interests and unusual situations you encountered.

20 Support Material 2005 Won first place in showmanship at the Saluda 4-H Shows in dairy, swine and goat competition. At the Saluda 4-H Swine Show, my heavy weight pig won Reserved Grand Champion.
