Consistent with Hebrew betrothal: 1.Christ has purchased us with his own blood. (Eph. 1:14, Acts 20:28) 2.We are betrothed to Christ, loyalty is expected, unfaithfulness is adultery (James 4:4). 3.Christ has returned to his Father’s house to prepare a dwelling place (John 14:1-3).

Consistent with Hebrew betrothal: 4. Christ will return unexpectedly with a shout and a trumpet blast to “kidnap” his willing bride and take her to his Father’s house (1 Thes. 4:16-17, John 14:3). 5. The bride is to be anticipating the return of the groom (Titus 2:13…).

Consistent with Hebrew betrothal: 6. A marriage supper will begin shortly after our arrival with Christ at the Father’s house (Rev. 19:7-9) 7. The marriage supper will last one week, ie. the prophetic week of Dan. 9:27 lasting seven years.

Conclusions: 1. Believers will be raptured before the tribulation/day of the Lord/wrath. 2. The rapture can happen at any moment. 3.We can observe “stage setting” events for the tribulation. 4.It is reasonable to believe the end is near.
