37
Thought Technology Ltd. Screen Anatomy Replay Mode: Heart Rate Variability Training Screen The training screen contains a number of graphs (bar and line), a frequency analysis, an epoch graph, sound, and a couple of animations.
38
Thought Technology Ltd. 64 Seconds for FFT Replay Mode: Heart Rate Variability Training Screen Note that the frequency calculations will not come into effect before 64 seconds of data have been recorded. Before this point, the values are not valid and thus are not shown
39
Thought Technology Ltd. Replay Mode Controls Replay Mode: Control Menu Press the Green Arrow to begin (Play) Press the Red Square to Stop Press the two Yellow Rectangles to Pause Press the numbered buttons to move through screens
40
Thought Technology Ltd. Time Scale Replay Mode: Time Scale To change the time scale, click on the drop down time menu and select your desired time scale Note that only line graphs will reflect this change
41
Thought Technology Ltd. Line Graph Replay Mode: Line Graph This line graph shows three different signals in different colours The signals are identified by the colours and labels above the graph
42
Thought Technology Ltd. Respiration Pacer Replay Mode: Pacer The breathing pacer allows the client to follow a pacer during respiration. Follow the ball up on inhale, and down on exhale
43
Thought Technology Ltd. Pacer Settings Replay Mode: Pacer The pacer can be modified to virtually any respiration rate: right click on the instrument and select “Edit Pacer Settings” A box appears and it is here that you can modify the settings
44
Thought Technology Ltd. F1 Help At All Times Replay Mode: F1 Help Menu At any time press F1 to bring up a topic specific help menu You can also search topics in the left hand column
45
Thought Technology Ltd. Animations Replay Mode: Animations Animations are to give visual feedback Animations can be continuous and move (circular or linear), or can be on or off (binary)
46
Thought Technology Ltd. Bar Graphs Replay Mode: Bar Graphs These bar graphs are set to an auto scale (continuously variable) and have thresholds (automatic thresholds) A small line graph beneath the bar graphs shows the raw signal
47
Thought Technology Ltd. FFT – Only after 64 secs Frequency Analysis (FFT) Graph blank for first 64 seconds Frequency Analysis (FFT) Graph blank for first 64 seconds
48
Thought Technology Ltd. FFT – 2 Dimensions Replay Mode: Frequency Analysis (FFT) The FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) is a Frequency Analysis of the EKG IBI signal Note that the peak frequency changes colour for easy identification
49
Thought Technology Ltd. Epoch Graph Replay Mode: Epoch Graph This Epoch Graph can have both bar and line graphs (only bar shown below) and shows progress through a session (updates every 20 seconds) The vales are colour labeled and the last values are also shown as a numeric value at the top of the graph
50
Thought Technology Ltd. Numeric Display Replay Mode: Numeric The numeric instrument simply shows the numerical value of the current statistic Note that the number is often dampened (averaged or slowed) to ensure that it is easily readable
