The Full Gospel Church Sunday April 13, 2008Vol. XII Number 12 Acts 4:12 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Savior and Redeemer Acts 4:7-12 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, 9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. When Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross he became our savior and our redeemer. Jesus paid the price for all of our wicked sins and faults. Jesus choose to be crucified! There is no power on this earth that could have forced him to be condemned, tortured, and executed unless he allowed it to happen. Jesus willingly was crucified so that we could be saved!

Savior and Redeemer Jesus enters Jerusalem on Palm Sunday Jesus performs many miracles and casts out the money changers, upsetting the temple hierarchy and priesthood. This caused the Temple leadership to fear for their position and authority. They saw Jesus Christ as a threat to their leadership. The High Priest along with his legal council conspire to execute Jesus Christ through the Roman government. This way they can say that the wicked Romans crucified an innocent man. This provided an escape if their collusion is discovered. They think that everything is covered when they consult with Pontius Pilate. Jesus knows and tells his disciples about what is going to happen in the near future during the Last Supper. Jesus willingly is captured, even healing a soldier's ear that Peter cut off. Jesus even tells Pontius Pilate that the Temple priests have the greater sin. Behold the Man

Jesus our Lord When Jesus willingly was crucified by a collusion between the Jewish priesthood and the Roman government, Jesus became our Lord and Savior. As our savior Jesus showed his supreme love for us by paying the price for our salvation on the cross. By allowing the joint collusion to execute him, he became savior of all. He became the savior of both the Jews and the Gentiles by this wicked collusion! When we accept Jesus Christ as our savior, we need to realize that we have a new life. Our old life is passed away and everything is new. Instead of Satan being our lord and master, Jesus Christ is now our lord and master. This means that our old man is crucified and we are a changed person with new priorities and a new purpose. We now willing follow Jesus Christ's example by living righteously in Jesus Christ our Lord!

Jesus our Lord 2 Corinthians 5:1-17 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Choosing Jesus Christ as our savior also means that we choose to follow his divine precepts and judgments. Where we used to live wickedly and unrighteously, now we have chosen to live holy and righteously. When we repent of our wicked sins, we are saying that we have a new course and direction for our life. We have chosen Jesus as our Lord and Master
