Christian Church Ephesians 3:2-3 “ If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; as I wrote afore in few words.” Colossians 1:27” To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Unveiling The Mystery, Christ In You The Hope Of Glory

Nuggets from Sunday’s Message: “When I See Jesus, I Understand - The Work Has Been Done!”

Last week’s message – “Moving Forward With Understanding!” It is important to remember from Colossians 1:21-23: All of us at some time in life were separated from the favor and blessings of God because we lived according to our own minds and not Gods will. The price for redemption has been paid by the Son of God, because we could not pay it. He now presents each of us to the Father unreprovable and unblamable. Nothing, nor nobody can disqualify us. But only if we remain rooted and grounded in the faith.

 Seeing Jesus with an understanding of what He has accomplished on our behalf will create within us a sense of gratitude and thanksgiving beyond measure.

Hebrews 2:9-11 says, But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angles for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctified and they who are sanctified are all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.

The Historical View of the Text deals with three key things, and it also gives us an angle in which we can understand how the text applies to our lives now. Remember what the Church was up against: 1.The persecution that had begun to take place in the lives of the New Testament believers. 2.The three area’s of failure: Government, Religion, and Humanity. 3.God’s antidote for the problem. (Faith in what He has made available.)

The a ntidote for the problem they were experiencing and the antidote for what we will experience is in our getting a clear understanding of what has been done and standing firm upon it. 1.Jesus, the Son of God was brought into the world to suffer and die for the sins of mankind. Vs. 9 2.He receives for his work, a crown of glory and honor, and a name above all names. Vs. 9 3.He puts to the test the word of God, that we are all saved by Grace. By Grace He tastes death for every man. Vs. 9 4.It was what the Father required, to qualify His Son to be the perfect savior, through sacrifice and suffering. Vs. 10 5.For Him to past the test to be the Captain of our salvation. Vs. 10 6.Nothing else could make us one, with the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, as they are ONE. Vs. 11

Results from what we see: 1.The overwhelming gratitude that allows one to be thankful at all times for what God has done. 2.A reminder that keeps one steady during times of testing. 3.A hunger and desire to represent God on the level God has ordained for our lives. 4.A new vision of how we see ourselves. 5.A push to go the distance and not be held back by yesterday’s flaws!
