WAVE POWER Alternative energy

How it works! At a wave power station, the waves arriving cause the water in the chamber to rise and fall, which means that air is forced in and out of the hole in the top of the chamber. We place a turbine in this hole, which is turned by the air rushing in and out. The turbine turns a generator. A problem with this design is that the rushing air can be very noisy, unless a silencer is fitted to the turbine

Renewable!!!!!!!! Wave power is renewable. You can harness it to generate electricity and it keeps on coming continuously. Clean and green energy with no carbon dioxide emissions. Tides and waves can be used today to generate electricity, and they will still be there tomorrow just as strong, so they are renewable. renewable because the ocean currents are being pulled in and out with the complexity of the moon and earth's rotation ocean wave is renewable Wave power is renewable. 4 Cost to build cost to customer!:? Israel's SDE Energy, a developer of technologies for sea wave power generation, has received a 25-year concession from an undisclosed country in Africa to build wave power plants with a total capacity of 100 MW. The cost of this project is $100 million and the expected revenues from the electricity sold are estimated to be approximately $1bn. Meanwhile, the company has started negotiations with global institutions for insuring the project and providing financial guarantees. 5 Positives!!!!!! Wave power provides clean power with no emissions that is fully renewable. Waves will never stop crashing, and so there is no limit to the amount of clean-power that can be extracted from waves. This compared favorably to fossil fuels and other non- renewable sources of power. Wave power is also free in this sense

Negative !!!!  some negatives of wave power is that the devices built to harness the energy of the waves are not adequate enough to do so. So lots of energy is lost and some is gained. : some negatives of wave power is that the devices built to harness the energy of the waves are not adequate enough to do so. 7 Impact on environment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In general, careful site selection is the key to keeping the environmental impacts of wave power systems to a minimum. Wave energy system planners can choose sites that preserve scenic shorefronts. They also can avoid areas where wave energy systems can significantly alter flow patterns of sediment on the ocean floor.

What places use this Australia Argentina US UK Denmark Canada Belgium Ireland Sweden Finland Australia Argentina US UK Denmark Canada Belgium Ireland Sweden Finland

Ideal location on us It is the US as you see it was listed as one of the places its used

Is it available???????? It is only used in the places listed because they are close to the water it is used here but not in the community because minisota isnt near a large body of water that makes waves big enough to make that can make that type of energy
