2. What is service learning to me? To me service learning is the will to help someone in need. The will to volunteer and learning from the experience. To gain knowledge of things that are going on in the world, and finding more ways that you can help.

3. PHI MU has a big role in why I began volunteering, it has given me so many opportunities to change people’s lives.

5. The Freshman Year Experience Program has also provided many opportunities for community service. It requires ten hours of community service per semester. FYEFYE

6. Places I have Volunteered Children’s Miracle Network Adopt-a mile American Cancer Society Shan’s Hospital Relay for life Red Cross

7. The Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is an international non- profit organization that raises funds for Children's hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children's health issues. The organization, founded in 1983 by the Osmond family and John Schneider, is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. To date, the Children's Miracle Network claims to have raised over US$3.2 billion which is distributed directly to a network of 170 hospitals.

8. Phi MU Volleyball Tournament

9. Phi MU raised over $11,000 for Children’s Miracle Network. We had a volleyball tournament and it was a great success

10. Adopt-a Highway Phi MU adopted a highway off of Patterson. We picked up trash for hours.

11. Why is service learning important? Service learning is important because it can better our community. If we do not volunteer our communities will never get better. The little things matter the most, a few hours of volunteering makes a huge difference.

12. PROS AND CONS The good things about the community service I did was that it made me realize that I am very fortunate to have the things that I do have. I enjoyed it and I knew that it was going for a great cause. The bad things about the community service I did was the long hours and sometimes the work was not fun.

14. I have really enjoyed doing community service, I feel like I have become a better person from my experience. I believe if everyone in the world does a little bit of volunteering in their community then our world will become a better place. So I believe that a little bit of volunteerism can go a long way.
