2. SACOM is a non-government organization based in Hong Kong, China, founded in June 2005 by students, and later joined by other cultural and labor activists. SACOM's main goal is to monitor and campaign against corporate misbehavior that violates worker's rights, health, safety, welfare, and dignity in China.

3. CSR Activities in China SACOM's "Disney Project" will persist in monitoring and disclosing any violations of labor laws in Disney's supplier factories in China, which include endless overtime work, countless occupational injury cases, persistent below legal minimum wage pay levels and other violations of workers rights. Students, scholars, consumers, and media workers are joining forces to awaken the conscience of Disney. SACOM hopes that Disney can stop the exploitative operations of its suppliers and urge them to accept the continuous monitoring of the students and the public.

4. CSR Activities in China “Make IT Fair” is a European wide project on consumer electronics, aiming to inform young consumers about human rights, social and environmental issues along the supply chain. The work is coordinated by SACOM and other NGOs from different countries. 5. SACOM sees itself occupying a unique position and playing a specific role in the international efforts to push for corporate compliance by scrutinizing the CSR performance of Hong Kong companies in the production chain. SACOM demands Hong Kong companies together with their brand-name buyers (such as Disney and Wal- Mart) in the global supply chains be held responsible for their social impacts in China. SACOM will work with other NGOs to monitor factories in China established by investors from their regions.
