1. LEARNING MATERIAL FOR SCHOOLS WORLD WATER DAY 2015 WATER FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD GUIDANCE NOTES FOR TEACHERS

2. 1.The learning material in the PowerPoint slides are for use as teaching material for schools during the World Water Day 2015 celebrations 2.The material is structured to highlight the importance of water towards sustainable development 3.The lecture is estimated to last for a duration of one hour including any post-lecture quiz, reflection and/or debate 4.Teachers are encouraged to use as many local examples as possible in the lecture and also emphasize major issues with water in each locality e.g. water scarcity, coastal zone management, rural or urban setting. The teacher has to use his/her discretion and judgement on what the students will easily relate to, whilst at the same time maintaining a global view and raising awareness of water as an essential and finite resource GUIDANCE NOTES
