Potential Route GCSE Hospitality NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service, or Hospitality Service. 3D Designer Overall Role and Purpose - Develop and implement retail fixtures for the GB&I market. - Working closely with the Group Retail Team to develop retail fixtures to support our products in retail and with the GB&I Creative Head to ensure consistent brand and messaging across all projects. - Implement Group creative direction whilst managing the development of fixtures. - Oversee and manage the prototype process for retail/merchandising displays. - Work with the Creative Retail Head to ensure that relevant technologies and developments at store level are considered and implemented where appropriate. - To ensure all POS and fixture projects deliver significant ROI. This is what we need you to do... - Project lead, develop and deliver retail fixture projects - ensuring buy-in from senior levels both within Dyson and at the retailer. - To interpret creative concepts for retail environments/displays, developing detailed technical drawings for prototype and roll-out manufacture. - Produce and manage all specifications and tender packs for local suppliers, be on call to advise, discuss and supervise external suppliers. - Manage the prototype process from start to finish, signing off on suitability for production. - Deliver retail presentations to main stakeholders - both internal and retailer - to aid comprehension and spot potential difficulties in 3D projects. - Ensure solutions are commercially viable and represent excellent value without compromising the brand. Manage multi-level expectations. - Maintain excellent supplier contact to ensure smooth running of projects and good value. - Work with the Creative Retail Head so that displays incorporate the latest in-store design thinking. - Enforce Dyson brand values in store whilst working within retailer constraints. - Work with the Hub Account Director and 3D Project Manager to ensure that projects are integrated across both Comms and 3D. - Ability to work on multiple projects whilst delivering on challenging deadlines. Potential Route GCSE Product Design A Level Product Design Graphic Products Design @ University Skills and Experience - Product/Engineering Design degree - Solid permanent and semi-permanent POS/retail environment experience - design, development, manufacture - Expert knowledge of 3D CAD and 3D visualization software - In-depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign - Strong ability to freehand sketch - Very detailed understanding of materials and all production processes, including print, that are associated with POS and the retail environment. - Cardboard engineering experience. - Track record of leading and developing high-value retail fixture projects that translate to commercial success stories - Solid retail experience, including marketing knowledge, experience and retail insights - Detailed knowledge and practical application of graphic design and in-store communications.
