Emilio Madaio, 2 November 2011 4 Common Policy Topics (2/4) IPv4 Depletion – AfriNIC: a new version of the Soft Landing Policy reached consensus at AfriNIC 14 with new version; ended Last Call – LACNIC: LAC-2011-04: makes mandatory to applicants that do not hold IPv6 to request it when in exhaustion to receive IPv4; LAC-2011-06 reserves a /12 for gradual exhaustion of IPv4 resources. Both in Last Call until 5 December.
