3. Capital Funding Capital Funding £150m nationally Essex award £3.157m – 4 th largest allocation in England based upon £17 per pupil 262 bids received – 6 rejected Awards made to 256 schools totalling £3.84m Schools making capital contribution of £800k Contingency £100k (3%) 3

Other Funding Support for small schools: Minimum 3k to support the implementation of UIFSM Meals £2.30 per meal based upon actual uptake DFE forecast of 87% uptake Adjustments made based upon census data submissions for third term (Oct / Jan) Support DFE tendered for organisations to provide “support” to schools – creation of help line, telephone consultations and then as last resort technical on site support to achieve. 4

Capital Projects Status 48 capital medium/Large capital projects No provision: 9 major projects Servery conversions: 11 major projects ( 1 school withdrawn) Large upgrade/ Refurbishment: 28 schools projects (1 school withdrawn) All other schools non major capital works/equipment = 217 schools Individual discussions re technical/funding amendments as required 5
