1 DOD/DOT Issues Marco Boasso 15 May 2012 COVER SLIDE GUIDELINES:
Type the title of your briefing where indicated. Titles on the cover slide will be in Arial font, Bolded, size 40 point, centered if possible, see note below. Type name of briefer in middle & center (if known or if appropriate for the audience) Type the date of the briefing under briefer name. NOTE: If the text looks off center or doesn’t fit properly because the title or the name of the briefer is too long, then left justify GUIDELINES FOR BRIEFING SLIDES: Slide titles will be in Arial font, Bolded, size 36 Sub-headings, if used will be in Arial font, Bolded, size 24 point Use the bullet format preset on the slide template. Text on the slide will be in Arial font, preferred size is 20. Size the font appropriately keeping in mind the audience and the setting for the brief. Text should be black. CG's NEW GUIDELINES FOR CREATING BRIEFINGS: Keep them black and white, concise, and free of clutter. CG is a BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) leader.  Keep future presentations/briefs to no more than five slides.  Highlight a few areas and emphasize your key points/intended takeaways.  Unless a picture serves an explicit purpose, don’t use them.  When briefing, do not read the chart.

DOT-SP – Expired 1/31/2011 – Not Used Since FY10 DOT-SP – Expired 5/31/2011 – Not Used Since FY08 DOT-SP – Expired 6/30/ Used in FY10 DOT Acknowledgement of Timely Filing Received DOT-SP – Expired 4/30/ Used in FY12 DOT-SP 7765 – Third Party Withdrawn Still being used as of FY12 DOT-SP – Terminated by DOT Used in FY11 Customer Advisory sent 30 Jan 2012 Not Renewed: DOT-SP 14736 DOT-SP 14568 Renewal Processed: DOT-SP – renewal processed 29 April 2011 – Notice of Timely Filing received 3 May 2011 – awaiting final processing at DOT DOT-SP – processed renewal on 9 March We did not receive a request for renewal but we processed one anyway – did not meet the 60 day prior to expiration deadline for timely filing. Third Party Withdrawn: DOT-SP 7765 – Mr. Dugan withdrew our third party status to this SP before we came on board in HAZMAT. We’re unaware as to the reasons why. However, we continue to see this SP being used by the AF and Navy on usage reports DOT-SP was terminated by DOT – used by DLA in FY11

Three Expired DOD CAAs CA – Expired 31 Jan 2010 – Not Used Since FY10 CA – Expired 31 Aug 2011 Application Ongoing with DOT CA – Expired 31 Dec 2011 Allowed to Expire: CA CA Both of these were before our time in HAZMAT. If either of these is still needed, please let us know. CA – ongoing application with DOT – have been trying to get this pushed through DOT since last July. They had issues with the EX approvals, all should be resolved at this time. We are pushing through with our second attempt – provided additional information to DOT 9 May fingers crossed.
