3  The Constitution of our Academic Senate directs us to hold at least one, scheduled, all-faculty meeting each academic year.  Today is it!

4  Faculty who are not senators and don’t attend senate meetings can be brought up to date on the work of the Senate.  All faculty and staff have the chance to hear from the President, the Provost, the Senate Chair, and the Brakebill Award honoree.

9  Senate passed the Applicability of RTP Department Standards  FAC also created Guidelines for Department RTP Standards  Departments writing RTP standards should consult Faculty Affairs website.

10  Undergraduate Learning Outcomes Adopted  Student Grade Appeals (SAC)  Curriculum Proposers Policy (APC)  AD Hoc Viability Review Committee for Discontinuation of Children’s Services and Adult Services concentrations in Human Development (withdrawn) and Physical Education option (recommendation forthcoming to February Senate)

11  Continuing the work begun by Chair Bennett last year to include more lecturers in Senate work and address lecturer issues. 4 lecturer senators added in changes to Constitution.  Changes to Constitution and By-Laws

25  Full Professor burnout is a reality and the number of FERPers is growing.  Our small pool of Assistant Professors risks the same down the line if we do not add new tenure track faculty yearly.
