2. What causes students to achieve and surpass their reading goals by a large margin? Most students exceed their reading goals.

4. What are student’s goals based on? The majority of students do not think about their goals while reading and make unrealistic reading goals.

8. Students: Even though students are making goals, that does not mean that they use them to guide their work. Conferences: Conversations with students about their goals and the work they need to do, helps to enhance the teacher’s understanding of the student’s process and encourages students to use their goals in a meaningful ways.
