American Corner Pattani was first opened for use on January 26, 2004. There was the formal opening ceremony on February 17, 2005.

Service Hours The corner is opened to public during library business hours: During regular semesters 08.30 a.m. – 09.30 p.m. on Weekdays 09.00 a.m. - 08.00 p.m.on Saturdays 08.30 a.m. – 05.00 p.m.on Sundays

Books “ AC” or “Ref AC” at the book spines. 187 AC books were checked out. 26 AC Books were renewed. (at Jan.19, 2006)

Periodicals and Newspaper 2 copies of the newest periodicals and newspapers are set on AC Shelves. The back issues of periodicals, allowed to borrow 5 items/2 days. The newspapers, allowed to use in the library.

Audio-Visual Materials The users can use the vedio cassettes, DVDs, CD-ROMs, Multimedias and satellite programs at the corner.

Hi-Speed Internet Access

There are 6 computers with hi-speed internet access and there are 4 professional reference staff for fast and efficient information retrieval. Approximately there are 20 users / day.

Other Activities To promote Alert, What’s New and Washington File of IRC by printing and attaching at the public relations board and sending some of them via e-mail to all-staff and all-students in Pattani Campus To have a meeting with the JFK staff and supporting students on the topic of American Corner Management and Services To coordinate with others both inside and outside the campus concerning with the AC, IRC and Cultural Affairs.
