3. Birth of the SPC RN to BSN Program l Need for Program Extreme shortage of registered nurses SPC BSN was projected to and has increased enrollment in the SPC AS so we are graduating more RNs BSN provides a higher level of critical thinking needed to make increasingly complex nursing judgments

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING l RN Completion Program Only Students must already be registered nurses Can be either AS or hospital diploma graduates l Seamless articulation with prior nursing education l Delivered at HEC, or off site locations - Morton Plant Mease Hospital, Oakhill Hospital, BayVista, and currently at Bayonet Point

5. Admission Criteria l Registered Nurse l Current, valid, unrestricted, unencumbered nursing license l Completion of SPC and Baccalaureate applications

6. St. Petersburg College l Enrollment goals initially were 50 students for the first two admissions l Actual enrollments exceed projections by 15 to 50 students per admission l Current enrollment numbers are ~ 330

8. Curriculum Transfer lower division credits 40 upper division credits to be taken by student (may transfer 10) Must meet SPC AA general education requirements Must meet foreign language requirement 121 credits for degree
