2 Who We Are  Early Childhood Education Department – One full-time faculty member divided between 2 departments, and 7 adjunct faculty  Education Department – 2 adjunct faculty  Children’s Learning Center – Interim Director, 4 part-time teachers, and 2 part-time assistant teachers

3 National Research on Enrollment Trends in Preschool Education Enrollment trends in preschool education have edged passed enrollment trends for college-bound students (Aud et al., 2010).

4 Enrollment Trends in ECE Enrollment trends in ECE have been increasing. We have experienced a 16% increase in enrollment in the past 5 years. 7 Summary  The MCC faculty and staff who work in the ECE/EDU department and in the CLC take great pride in their roles as leaders within the early childhood community.  These programs have an excellent reputation; therefore, employers in the region actively recruit our students.  The replacement of one ECE/EDU faculty member and the CLC director is essential, in order to continue to provide high quality educational experiences for MCC students.
