What is in a cigarette? Other diseases Asthma- airways become narrowed or blocked making it hard to breath. Asthma – Caused by smoking or secondhand smoke in kids Bronchitis- mucus blocks the airway Other infections- colds & pneumonia – Smoking robs the body of vitamin C, weakening the immune system
