2. Who we are and what we do We are an agency of the Scottish Government with approximately 170 staff We give financial support to all eligible students doing a course of higher education in the UK We process approximately 150,000 applications each year

3. www.saas.gov.uk Residence eligibility Ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for the three years immediately before the first day of the academic year of the course (relevant date) and ordinarily resident in Scotland on the same date If you are not a UK or other EU national, you must have ‘settled status’ in the UK as set out in the Immigration Act 1971
