True Worship What Does The Bible Teach?
2
True Worship John 12:44 (NKJV) Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. Jesus is not alone. Many will try to make Jesus their Lord, but will reject God by failing to keep and respect the Bible as authority in religion. John 12:46-47 (NKJV) "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. The thought above about "does not believe" includes those who change His words. Some people accept Christ but not the conditions by which He says are necessary. Others still reject His teaching and His Laws outright. Some reject Christ ignorantly.

True Worship John 12:48 (NKJV) "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him; the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. If we are to be judged by the words of Jesus, which are the expressed spoken commandments or laws of God, then in order to receive the blessings He has promised, we must conform our lives to the principles and precepts of His word. John 12:49-50 (NKJV) "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. "And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." If we hear and obey His commands, then everlasting life is the result. If on the other hand, we hear only what we want to hear and obey only the things we want to obey, then everlasting life is removed from us and we have everlasting destruction.

True Worship John 14:23-24 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. These people can say all they want that they love the Lord, but it is not so. If every denomination has their own doctrine, their own name, their own practices, and their own standard of righteousness, then the others have to be different.
5
True Worship Either one or the other is wrong. They may both be wrong, but they cannot both be right with God. They can only be right in the sight of man apart from God. Man may give approval where God has not. Man can join where God has separated and man can separate what God has joined. Man can speak where God has remained silent. Any way you look at it, God still is the ultimate ruler of this world and your life.

True Worship John 14:26 (NKJV) "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. The Holy Spirit sent by God, saw that they did things right according to God's standard of righteousness in the first century. The Holy Spirit sent by God moved individuals to put the Will of God in written form. This is the Holy Bible, the scriptures. The Bible is the result of the Holy Spirit's work. Therefore when we are in conformity to the Bible, we are in conformity to the Holy Spirit, and the one who sent the Holy Spirit, God.

True Worship 2 Peter 1:20-21 (NASB) "But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, {21} for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. Jesus and the Holy Spirit helped the Apostles and the writers of the New Testament bring about the whole truth of God. John 17:20 (NKJV) "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; {21} "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. The apostles are the “they” mentioned here. "Their word" is the message found in the scriptures, The Bible. The prayer of Jesus was for unity and uniformity. Not division.

True Worship Ephesians 2:13-21 (NKJV) But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. {14} For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, {15} having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, {16} and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. {17} And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. {18} For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. {19} Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, {20} having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, {21} in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

True Worship Man in his arrogance and selfishness has placed walls of division. Man has given us different names. Man has given us different doctrines. Man has corrupted God's ways and placed millions of souls in danger of hell. Sadly each individual is responsible to God, but they keep following false teaching and traditions to their own destruction.
10
True Worship Matthew 24:35 (NKJV) "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Man constantly and continually changes their beliefs and practices. They are always deciding for themselves what is acceptable to God. Look at the changes that have take place in so many religions in our generation alone. How can man justify changes? He can't! Matthew 5:18 (NKJV) "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. God's word has not changed, man is the one who changed. All the changes that man may produce, publish, or proclaim, will not take away from the fact that God's law is our judge. This sounds so strange; since many claim to uphold the Bible as the sole guide to God's salvation.
11
True Worship 1 Peter 1:25 (NKJV) But the word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. Forever is a long time. Therefore since we will exist forever, we had better learn to respect His word His way. We must also preach this truth. Publicly, privately or in print.
12
True Worship Ephesians 4:4 (NKJV) There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; If there is only one body as the Bible declares, then all others are wrong and un-acceptable to God. What we must do is determine which body is the right body. How? We can start by Bible study and diligent effort to know God's Law.
13
True Worship Romans 12:4-5 (NKJV) For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, {5} so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. The only true body are those who are in Christ. This means those who are in conformity to His Teaching and His Doctrine. Also those who wear His name. Also those who wear His name. 1 Corinthians 12:13 (NKJV) For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body; whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free; and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. This shows how we enter this one body. We know that anyone who will obey God on His terms will be acceptable to Him. It does not matter what color they are, or what language they speak. Man places barriers and divisions, God does not.
14
True Worship 1 John 3:4 (KJV) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4 (NIV) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4 (NKJV) Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4 (NASB) Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4 (CEV) Everyone who sins breaks God's law, because sin is the same as breaking God's law. From the different translations we still get the general idea that doing things differently from the way God specified is violation of His law. We can do this willfully or ignorantly.

Conclusion So that our lessons is not too long, we will continue this study next week. Denominationalism is wrong because it does not fit in with Bible teaching. Our hope is that people see the difference and seek to serve God in God’s ways.
