Compiled and Illustrated from The Scriptures & The Spirit of Prophecy May 2014 Presents And This is Life Eternal And This is Life Eternal Part 5
2
In part 4 of this study, we have learned that, as followers of Christ Jesus, we are to believe that He is in The Father, and that The Father is in Him, Who does HIS works through Him. And if we are followers of Christ Jesus, to do the same works that He does, then as He works out The Father’s Will in and through us, we will give Him the glory, to bear witness of Him, Who dwells in us. For He will do The Father’s Will, WHO works through Him in us to the glory of The Father. The words that He spoke unto His disciples, are the words that He spoke not of Himself, but of The Father, WHO dwells in Him. And He did the works to bear Witness of The Father, to give HIM glory for doing the works that HE sent Him to do. As Jesus said to the Jews in defining the works of GOD, He said the works of GOD is to believe on Him, Whom HE has sent. Jesus sets The Example to all, who will follow Him, as The Only Way to The Father, and He said of those, who will follow Him that they will do the same works that He does.
3
But how can the church give Christ Jesus glory if they don’t know Who dwells in them, that He might give glory to The Father to accomplish HIS works in and through them? Those, who received Christ Jesus, and were following Him, He said, If you love Me keep my Commandments. Yet, as a result of not knowing The Spirit, Who dwells in the body of His church, to work out The Father’s Will, to give HIM glory in His member, many of the members of His church, who are called upon to give Him glory for doing His Father’s Will through them; they are not doing His Will of keeping His Commandments, to give Him the glory for doing His Father’s Will in and through them. If Christ Jesus is of flesh and blood, to be like His brethren, and His Father’s SPIRIT was dwelling in Him, working out HIS Will through Him, then if the church is the body of Christ Jesus, and we are called to believe on Him, Whom The Father has sent, to do the same works as He does through us, then, Whose Spirit is It that dwell in the body of His church?
4
Just as the works that Christ Jesus did bore witness that The Father was working out His Will through Him, the keeping of His Commandments is a sign that Christ’s Spirit is abiding within the members of those, who obey Him. And because Judas did not understand, we have learned from Jesus that He could not be in them with His physical body of flesh and blood, but He could be in them with His Own Spirit, Who could be in all, who receive Him. And The Father will be in Him. If the members are not believing on Him, to keep His Commandments, then there is another spirit at work in leading His members to disobey His Will. Although Jesus said He was going to The Father, and would send to His church another Comforter, He tells the member of His body that it is He, Who will come unto them and dwell with them. But the world will not see Him. Yet, He was dwelling there with them in a body just like them. Yet He said that He was going to be with them, and the world will not see Him.
5
And because the world cannot see Him, or know Him to receive Him, many of the members of His body--the church are following the teachings of the world, to believe that GOD’S Word is a Mystery. They are believing the teachings of false prophets, who are of the world. But Jesus said to His disciples, who love Him… If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Notice that Jesus said something to His disciples, which many today read in His words, but they, like His seventy disciples, are not digesting, or catching what He is saying to them by His words. But Jesus has reveal His words to those, who love Him. And John has testified of Him and said… He that loves Me not keeps not My sayings: and The Word which you hear is not Mine, but The Father's which sent Me.

“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:10-13).

Although there are many false prophets in the world today, who believe not in The Word of GOD, Whom The Father has sent; Ellen G. White was not a false prophet, as some have claimed. Like Isaiah, who said, “Who has believed our report?” She was a true prophet of GOD and HIS Word, Who came unto her. Why do many believe that she has made a change from one belief to another? It is because of What GOD has revealed to her by HIS Word, and they with the world’s view have drawn a different conclusion from her writings. She said… Some believe that she was a… None Trinitarian who changed her belief to become a… who changed her belief to become a… Trinitarian Ellen G. White Ellen G. White

“The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio. In the name of these three powers,--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will cooperate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ. (Bible Training School, The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, March 1, 1906 par. 2)

Notice that from the words written by Ellen G. White, many are not able to discern whether she was of The Spirit of Truth, or of the spirit of error. According to The Counsel given through John on how we might discern and know The Spirit of GOD from the spirit of antichrist, he said of Christ Jesus, Who said, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John said… The quote presented appears to be in support for The Trinity doctrine. Many do not see how this quote supports The Scriptures, and not a Trinitarian view. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:12-14).

Light and Life of man. GOD’S Word, GOD--The Father, WHO is SPIRIT, HE GOD--The Father, WHO is SPIRIT, HE created all things by created all things by HIS Son Who is also Spirit. He is HIS Son Who is also Spirit. He is “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” GOD by HIS Son made our world. He is the… But after man sinned against GOD and HIS Word, His servant has revealed… The Heir of all things, by Whom also HE made the worlds. To understand and discern The Truth of the words given to Ellen G. White, we must believe on The Word of GOD, Whom HE has sent. For He is The Truth.

“All through the pages of sacred history, where the dealings of God with His chosen people are recorded, there are burning traces of the great I AM.... In all these revelations of the divine presence, the glory of God was manifested through Christ. Not alone at the Saviour's advent, but through all the ages after the fall and the promise of redemption, "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself." Christ was the foundation and center of the sacrificial system in both the patriarchal and the Jewish age. Since the sin of our first parents, there has been no direct communication between God and man.
13
“The Father has given the world into the hands of Christ, that through His mediatorial work He may redeem man, and vindicate the authority and holiness of the law of God. All the communion between heaven and the fallen race has been through Christ. It was the Son of God that gave to our first parents the promise of redemption. It was He who revealed Himself to the patriarchs. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses understood the gospel. They looked for salvation through man's Substitute and Surety.... (That I Might Know Him, Page 102)

GOD’S Word, GOD--The Father, spoke by HIS Son to all the prophets, who received Him, Who is Spirit. HIS Son to all the prophets, who received Him, Who is Spirit. Since the sin of our first parents, there has been no direct communication between God and man. And in the age with Moses with the children of Israel, The Word said by him… Notice that GOD has manifested HIS works through Christ--The Word of GOD in creating all things by Him, Who gave HIM the glory. Adam Noah Abraham Isaac Jacob Moses All through the ages after the fall of man, GOD spoke by HIS Word. All through the ages after the fall of man, GOD spoke by HIS Word. They all received GOD’S Promise of HIS Word, to send a Seed of a woman.

“The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the LORD said unto me, They have well [spoken that] which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him” (Deuteronomy 18:15-19).
16
Notice that Moses testified of The LORD, WHO spoke by HIS Word through him unto the children of Israel. He was also obedient in keeping GOD’S Law. Why did GOD Promise by HIS Word to raise up a Prophet in the midst of the children of Israel, to be like Moses? It was because they said…. The LORD gave The Promise of HIS Word, to raise up a Prophet from the midst of the children of Israel, to be like unto Moses, that they might hear The LORD’S Voice by the receiving HIS Word. To hearken to GOD’S Voice To hearken to GOD’S Voice To be like Moses Or to hearken not To GOD’S Voice Or to hearken not To GOD’S Voice “Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.” Moses The Word of The LORD came unto them in The Glory of His Father, to make known to men HIS Will. But they received Him not. Notice what the elders of Israel said when they did see and hear The Voice of GOD’S Word speaking to them from the mount. Moses testified of them, saying
17
“And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, [even] all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth. Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die. For who [is there of] all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we [have], and lived?” (Deuteronomy 5:23-26).
18
“Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear [it], and do [it]. And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken. O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!” (Deuteronomy 5:27-29).
19
Notice that the heads of the tribes and elders of Israel did say with their words that they did not want to see The Great Fire, or hear GOD’S Voice to them. Notice that GOD was speaking by The Spirit of HIS Word, Who was received by His Servant Moses, who spoke HIS Word of Life to the children of Israel. But when GOD spoke by The Voice of HIS Word to them before, they said… To hearken to GOD’S Voice To hearken to GOD’S Voice To be like Moses Or to hearken not To GOD’S Voice Or to hearken not To GOD’S Voice Behold, The LORD our God has showed us HIS Glory and HIS Greatness, and we have heard HIS Voice out of the midst of The Fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he lives. Behold, The LORD our God has showed us HIS Glory and HIS Greatness, and we have heard HIS Voice out of the midst of The Fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he lives. Moses “Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.” The Word of The LORD came unto them in The Glory of His Father, to make known to men HIS Will. But they received Him not. The heads of the tribes and elders of Israel promised and said, that they will hear and do The Words that Moses would hear and speak unto them. Although Moses being of flesh, heard and lives, they were led to change their minds to let Moses mediate between GOD’S Word and them.

GOD’S Word, GOD--The Father, spoke by HIS Son to all the prophets, who received Him. He said… HIS Son to all the prophets, who received Him. He said… to the children of Israel, “O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!” Notice that GOD spoke by HIS Word unto Moses, who was one among his own people. Moses did hear The Voice of GOD’S Word and he lives today. GOD worked by HIS Word to prepared The way for The Promise of HIS Prophet to come and be like Moses, to speak HIS Word of Life to Israel. The fulfilling of The Promise Moses And all the prophets to John the Baptist The Word of GOD was in the world, but His people knew Him not. But He— The Word of GOD came to John the Baptist, and Luke testified of him saying…

“Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene, Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness” (Luke 3:1, 2).

The Word of GOD to John GOD The Father sent GOD The Father sent In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Luke testified of John the Baptist, and said that The Word of GOD came unto him in the wilderness. In the 15-th year of Tiberius Caesar John the Baptist, being six months older than Jesus in birth, he testified of Christ Jesus--The Son of Man, and the disciple John wrote of him saying... John the Baptist in the wilderness.

“And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I [am] the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. And they which were sent were of the Pharisees. And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?” (John 1:20-25).
24
“John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing” (John 1:26, 27).

The Word of GOD The Word of GOD GOD--The Father in heaven GOD--The Father in heaven Notice that John the Baptist, testified that Christ Jesus was before him. He is The Same Son of GOD, Who became also The Son of Man. The 15-th year of Tiberius Caesar John said, “I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.” John the Baptist John’s Confession Pharisees Questions I am not the Christ. What then? Art thou Elias? I am not. Art thou that prophet? No. Who are you? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What say you of yourself? I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. Why baptize you then, if you be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
