3 A mission to cultivate entrepreneurship and drive innovation through awareness and training programs Direct entrepreneurs to potential projects aligned with UAE economic vision Khalifa Fund launched a number of initiatives to instill the entrepreneurial spirit among young Emiratis, and encourage them to consider entrepreneurship as potential career, by providing them with the skills necessary to start their own businesses Provide advisory services during finalization and evaluation of the projects Provide support and follow up during the set- up phase for Emirati Entrepreneurs 3

6 Fostering entrepreneurship by investing in, and supporting Emirati SMEs Financing Post-funding support Ease administrative costs and burdens by issuing letters of support Track performance of approved projects on a regular basis Develop business linkages through networking events, mentorship, KF gateway, etc. Small, home-based businesses Up to AED 250,000 New business start- ups Up to AED 3million Growth capital, existing businesses Up to AED 5 million Industrial projects with high capex Up to AED 10million Idea Sourcing and Training Pre-funding advisory In-house training programs on “how to start your own business” (3 weeks) Idea generation courses to help identify opportunities aligned with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, across a variety of sectors Business counselors help applicants finalize business plan and financials, including putting them in touch with relevant authorities, providing them with market research, etc. 6

7 Khalifa Fund has also developed a host of social initiatives targeted towards specific segments of the community RADDA: Entrepreneurship development for Emirati inmates Amal: Partnership with Zayed Higher Organization to develop an Aqua-Ponic farm that provides 46 opportunities for Emiratis with special needs SOUGHA: Preserving the Emirati heritage by developing the technical skills and business acumen of local craftsmen-and-women in the UAE 7
