1 Our Mission To empower people with disabilities & other needs to achieve independence & enhance their lives. In 2012, we provided services to over 13,000 people who face mountains such as disabilities and economic disadvantages.

3 Dedicated Team, Community Impact To serve our community, we have about 1,200 employees, approximately 50% of whom have a disability, organized into three operating divisions: –Retail –Program Services –Business Services

5 GESMV: Recycling & Reuse  Goodwill Auto Auction – cars & other vehicles  Shopgoodwill.com – national site, unique items  GoodBookz4U – online book sales  Electronics recycling

6 Goodwill Stores Recycling 27 Goodwill Stores & 4 Attended Drop-off Centers  Approximately 650,000 donors annually  Approximately 24 million pounds will be recycled in 2013  2/3rds of donations are put in Goodwill Stores or our Outlet  40 % of items placed in stores are sold as retail  Each item in stores color coded to keep product ‘fresh” - 30 day limit  All textile items not sold in stores are sold to brokers - None go to landfills  Metals, plastics, cardboard, paper, wire sold to recyclers  We pay to recycle TVs and broken wooden pallets

7 GESMV E-Cycling Program Highlights:  Processed over 5.3 million pounds starting in 2010  Projecting 3 million pounds for 2013  Currently employ 16 directly in e-cycling program  Sales through PC Store - Dayton, Goodwill Stores, EBay, Recyclers  2 nd PC Store opened in July 2013 in Springfield  Emphasis on reuse, environmental and data safety  Goodwill Stores & Community Events  Part of Dell Reconnect System  Collection at Goodwill Stores and Attended Donation Centers  15 community e-cycling events in 2013  Corporate Program  Separate from Dell Program  Over 9,000 mailers sent to Chamber of Commerce members yearly  Employee dedicated to make calls to businesses, government entities, schools  Montgomery County e-cycling contract effective April 1, 2013

8  North America partnership between Dell and Goodwill  Over 2,000 collection sites throughout U.S. & Canada  Over 250 million pounds of computer equipment processed  Most Goodwills in Ohio participate  GESMV participation began February 2010  Standards set by GII and Dell  Accept all brands of computers, peripherals, parts, supplies  Monthly audits by 3 rd Party  Prohibition on the export of waste & on the landfill of any environmentally-sensitive material  Although Dell Reconnect agreement states donors are responsible for data: - GESMV sanitizes all donations that are reused to DoD 5220.22-M standards - All donations sent to Dell’s environmental partners are sanitized or destroyed by them

9  Important & growing source of donations  Co-sponsors: Cities, towns, solid waste districts, chambers of commerce  Primary key to success: collaborative, organized promotion  Multiple benefits to sponsors, donors, environment, local employment opportunities Community Events

10 Corporate Program  Includes businesses, government entities, schools, non-profits  2013 estimated volume 1.3 million pounds  Data will be wiped to DoD 5220.22 M standards or degaussed by GESMV  Donors are provided Certificate of Destruction (for data) upon request  Donors have option of dropping off or having GESMV pick-up items  GESMV breaks down all donated corporate program items that are deemed unacceptable for reuse for resale for commodity value  GESMV sells to those companies that have appropriate electronic recycling certifications
