Local Solutions Speaker Event ◦ The planning of this event entailed a cooperative effort between the Environmental Commissioners and the Eco Club. ◦ This event featured two speakers from the London community. ◦ Attendance for the first portion of this event was strong; however, attendance for the second part of this event was weak. This can be attributed to advertising, scheduling and communication failures.

This forum took the form of an In Camera committee meeting. ◦ Participants included – Club Presidents and KUCSC Exec’s. ◦ The Chair of this meeting will be the VP Student Issues. ◦ The purpose of this meeting was to generate clubs’ policy reform.
8
Negatives ◦ Several members present at the meeting did not fully understand what to expect from the meeting. ◦ Some of the topics of discussion were very contentious, and worked to derail positive discussion. Positives ◦ Through means of this forum, some positive decisions in relation to Clubs’ week were agreed upon amongst those participating in this forum. ◦ It was agreed upon by delegates of the forum that Clubs’ Forum meetings are something that should regularly occur in the future.
9
Structure, Purpose and the Frequency of Meetings ◦ Since the occurrence of the previous Clubs’ Forum meeting, I have been meeting with/surveying Club Presidents in order to come to a decision in relation to the Structure, Purpose, and Frequency of such meetings. Initial Thoughts Forum should have a roundtable, open style, format. General topics of discussion should be selected for such meetings through consultation with Club Presidents.
