Apuntes el 4 de noviembre Los artículos definidos (the definite articles) EL, LA, LOS, LAS are the definite articles. They all mean THE.

EL is the masculine singular definite article. It’s used with masculine singular nouns. El libro = the book El estudiante = the (male) student LA is the feminine singular definite article. It’s used with feminine singular nouns. La mesa = the table La estudiante = the (female) student

LOS is the masculine plural definite article. It’s used with masculine plural nouns. Los libros = the books Los estudiantes = the students (at least one male) LAS is the feminine plural definite article. It’s used with feminine plural nouns. Las mesas = the tables Las estudiantes = the students (all female)

Los artículos indefinidos (indefinite articles) UN and UNA mean A. UNOS and UNAS mean SOME.
