Some facts Serves a population of c.232,000 In 2007/08 will spend more than £320m commissioning and providing services Already commissions from a range of providers, from Third Sector organisations to specialist hospitals Is one of two teaching PCTs in NHS North West Many more specialist services are jointly commissioned Rated ‘Excellent’ for Use of Resources and ‘Good’ for Quality of Services in the 2006/07 Annual Health Check – the highest rated PCT in the North West Currently compliant with the December 2008 18 week target Strong financial history
