Overview each section before answering the questions Read quickly but carefully and think about answers (most questions are inferential) Don’t obsess about answers and don’t fall into the “good student” trap. For vocabulary, answer according to how the word is used in the passage. (not always its dictionary meaning.) RUN –Perhaps, while thinking about context, re-read the sentence, perhaps both the sentence above and below. Time Allocation –6 minutes per passage

Regents' Exam6 Relax and Release The object is to pass, not answer every question. Remember that if you answered all of the questions after reading the passages quickly, but carefully, and remembered to keep the passages’ main purposes in mind and to address the vocabulary questions in context, that you have probably passed.
