Think About the Image Images and Questions for Thought For each of these images, you will see a series of questions. Look at the image on the slide and study it for a few moments. Think about what you see and what you think might be happening in the image. Now, look at the questions that go with the image. Read each question carefully and think about your answer. You can work alone on these images, or with a friend. If you work alone, you may answer the questions in your journal. If you are working with a friend, the two of you can discuss the answers and debate your opinions.

What does the little girl with the white dress like to do for fun? Who is the little girl in the red dress playing with? What makes the man with the top hat and cane smile? What doe the man with the pipe do for a living? How did the rowing crew do in their last race?

What is the name of the dog? Who is the woman looking at? Where did she get her hat? What makes her smile? What would this woman like to say to you? Where has this woman travelled? What does she imagine when she daydreams? What is her favorite memory? What would you like to tell her? Who gave her the flowers?

Where does this woman live? What was the last thing that made her smile? What is her happiest memory? What did she dream about last night? Who will go with her today? Who lives in her neighborhood? What would make her giggle uncontrollably? What would embarrass her? Where does she live?

Who is her best friend? Where is she going? What might make her sad? Who does she talk to when she’s excited about something? What animal does she wish she could be?

Who would she like to have with her now? What would she like to say to the portrait painter? Where does she live? What did she have for dinner last night? What does she think about when is alone?

If he could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? What was the last thing to make him smile? What memory would he like to forget? What did he dream of last night?

Where would he like to live if he could live anywhere in the world? What was his first thought when he woke up this morning? Who would he like to talk to right now? Where would he take his best friend for an afternoon visit?
