2. DESCRIPTION  The swell or crest of surface ocean water created by the tides.  Tidal power traditionally involves erecting a dam across the opening to a tidal tidal basin. The dam includes a sluice that is opened to allow the tide to flow.

3. HOW IT WORKS  Wave give rhythm to the ocean. They transport energy over vast distance.  A huge dam is built across a river estuary. When the tide goes in and out, the water flows through tunnels in the dam, which harnesses massive energy

4. WHO WOULD MOST LIKELY USE IT.WHAT REGIONS WOULD BENEFIT THE MOST ?  REGIONS:England,Norway,Japan,India  Most likely to use? People who live by the ocean

5. COST  Millions of dollars  The cost of setting up a tidal power station can be very high. It can cost up to $15 Billion

6. PROS AND CONS  Pros-tidal energy produce clean and non-polluting energy.Thereis no carbon or any other by products is released.  Cons-its really expensive, and its still believed to be infancy stage. This makes it difficult to invest in technology on the basis of some assumptions, especially when the commercial value is yet to be provided.
