2015 Combined Federal Campaign National Training Volunteer Bulletin Board Why and How February 18-19 Fort Worth, TX Lou Nistler & John Loyd

Volunteer Bulletin Board Sharing Goals Charity Needs: Donors Volunteers Exposure Federal Employee Provides: Volunteerism Dollars to a Campaign Education to the next generation OPM Provides Opportunity to: Give to Charities Volunteer and learn about Charities Charities to gain Advocates

Some Detail OPM has stated a firm belief that we need to enhance the ways Federal Employees connect to the Charity Community. Charities are feeling the need to reintroduce themselves to the donor community. Federal Employees are not all going to be $500 and above donors in their early careers and maybe not ever, but they want to HELP the community. It is a service that feels like an expansion to CFC and a breath of fresh air to the Charity Community.

Some of the PCFO thoughts EarthShare had gained a unique inside view of the Volunteer Bulletin Board by using a version on their site, but also by participation in the 50 th Commission. If we Pilot a program that adds some value as we reinvent CFC we may build back some interest from those who have lost interest.

Initial Ideas Opportunities are posted with the assumption that you would volunteer for local events The Event could be posted up to 28 days before the event is to happen Charities would have up to 4 events a month This is not designed for Charities who are looking for people to come to fundraising events. The relationship starts with Employee interest and continues directly with the Charity not the Campaign.

Initial Ideas Cont. The specific information about the Volunteer activity is posted and owned by the Charity. Charities will post events independently or through Federation relationship. Federations may post their own. Data Collected by the Charity in not meant to be used for anything other than the Volunteer Activity itself. Volunteers are not required to have any further relationship or connection with a charity beyond that singular event.
