Vision The TLTC will advance collaborative processes that empower teachers, learners, providers of instructional support, and decision makers to make the best possible use of technology in promoting learning. Gathered Feedback  Focus Groups at EDTECH, NCLA, UNC Cause and feedback from Portal Oversight Committee  “What service should UNC provide through the PDP?”  “Why would users come to the Portal over other sources?” What we heard  Strength is “By UNC, for UNC”  Connect with UNC colleagues and resources  Push information to us “My email inbox is my Portal of choice.”  Integrate asynchronous communication tools  Concerns about how to encourage submissions

Enthusiastic response  Published May 27, 2004  Over 500 site visits in the first week!

Identify organizations on all 16 campuses Faculty Centers, Libraries, Instructional Technology departments, Computer Centers, etc. 2. Browse websites and ask departments for TLT-related training. 3. Index and abstract each resource Title, Campus, Organization Topic, Subtopic, Type (Workshop, Tutorial, Resource) URL, Date reviewed 4. Permissions
