5 The Request for Proposals Deadline: March 17, 2010 at Noon At least 3 firms will be invited to give a presentation Separate RFP process for final design and construction of Civic Center facilities

6 Project Elements Assessment and recommendations for facility needs, spaces and locations. Size, needs and uses of spaces Arrangement and/or combination of facilities Village or campus-style is preferred layout

7 Project Elements Demonstration of the architectural design of all Civic Center facilities, following a Turn of the 19th Century design style. Size and scale of buildings Character of an historic village Recommendations and renderings for each facility, and overall Civic Center area.

11 Important Design Considerations Interfacing with and/or utilizing Main Street. Existing City buildings may be removed or replaced. Maximum height is 55 feet, or 4 stories What land acquisitions required by City Possible street closure: 100 South, between Main Street and 100 East, Main Street, between 100 North and Center St.

12 Important Design Considerations Potential re-alignment of 100 East & Main St. All features presented on a conceptual level All processes and approvals to involve the Downtown Advisory Board, City staff, the Planning Commission, and the City Council Design compatible with the Downtown 2020 Action Plan
