Together with a main factory a certification there have passed two branches of the company: the daughter enterprise of JSC Obolon Krasylivske got a certificate according to the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001:2001 and DSTU ISO 22 000:2007, the daughter enterprise of JSC Obolon Zibert Brewery in Fastiv got a certificate DSTU ISO 9001:2001. Quality Management System (DSTU ISO 9001:2001) is now firmly established as the globally implemented standard for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships. Food Safety Management System (DSTU ISO 22 000:2007) is the preventive system for providing of safety of food products for consumers (permanent analysis of dangerous factors and verification of critical control points on all of the stages of production). 7. Industrial products Rim band Brewer’s grains Brewer’s malt High-quality Pilsen barley malt is manufactured at the modern malting plant in Chemerivtsi. Khmelnytsk region, which reached full capacity at the end of 2008. The new enterprise is able to produce 120 000 tons of malt per year, which minimizes the dependence of the Obolon plant on foreign malt markets. The best sorts of European brewing barley are used for malt production. By adhering to regulatory standards, the malt manufactured in Chemerivtsi, meets Ukrainian (DSTU 4282:2004) and international requirements for organoleptic indicators and physicochemical parameters. Rim bands are high-quality material for banding goods that can significantly increase the rigidity of packaging and preserve its integrity even under conditions of long hauls. The bands’ elasticity keeps them from damaging even fragile products. Furthermore, a PET band is cost effective and it is possible to work with it manually, as well as by using special automatic devices. The ultimate load of a PET band is comparable to the load of a steel band. Brewer’s grains appear after the filtration of beer wort during the brewing process. These are natural, ecologically clean, high-protein products. Biogas, ecological fertilizers and electric energy can be produced of them. They can be used in making bread, pasta and sausage. But most often brewer’s grains are used in agriculture as a high-quality animal feed, which is an absolutely natural, ecologically pure and bioactive product without chemical impurities.
