3 1.What does the word extermination mean as it is used in paragraph one? 2.According to the text, what did prisoners face when they arrived at the camps? 3.Examining the article, what is the pattern (structure) in each paragraph that the author creates? 4.How would the impact of the article differ without the statistics?

4 You need to find an article containing historical information about the Holocaust to use as a reference to fill in a template, that you will use for your presentation. (Thursday) Bring in a picture to help illustrate the information you found. (You cannot print in the classroom)

5 Your poster must include : All sections of the graphic organizer, filled in. At least two pictures (printed or hand drawn) Written in ink (pen, or marker) No pencil allowed! __/25

6 Team presentations: All team members must speak clearly and loudly. No gum, or candy. Make eye contact with the class. Avoid words like Uhh or Umm (Do not say Like every other word) Be able to answer any questions the class may ask. ___/25

7 Fill in each section of the chart: Perpetrator, Describe a time you deliberately said or did something to hurt someone else. Bystander, Describe a time you did not interrupt an act of prejudice. Rescuer, Describe a time you interrupted an act of prejudice and became an ally to potential victim. Victim, Describe a time someone’s words or actions hurt you and you felt like a target.
