Prepositional Phrases
A prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun. That noun or pronoun is called the object of the preposition. For example: with my grandfather “With” is the preposition. “Grandfather” is the object of the preposition. “With my grandfather” is a prepositional phrase.

The easiest way to identify a prepositional phrase is that it will start with a preposition and ends with a “thing”. For example: The boy looked at a magazine. “At” is the preposition “Magazine” is the object of the preposition or the “thing” “At a magazine” is the prepositional phrase
