WELCOME! Sigma Sigma Phi National Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity Gamma Chapter – Seton Hill

GOALS Further the philosophy, art, and science of osteopathy and its standards of practice To improve the scholastic standing and promote a higher degree of fellowship among its students To bring about a closer functional relationship and understanding between the student bodies and the officials and members of the faculties of our colleges. To further the welfare of the osteopathic profession, its colleges and other institutions. To foster allegiance to the AOA and to perpetuate high professional standards through the maintenance and development of this organization.

BACKGROUND LECOM at Seton Hill opened in Greensburg, PA in 2009 at the site of Seton Hill University Student population = 215 OMSIs & OMSIIs Currently 79 SSP members amongst the OMSII, OMSIII, OMSIV classes Class of 2016 and 2017

COLORS The colors of SSP are: Crimson Red Representing Virility Royal Blue Representing Loyalty

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS Maintain a 3.0 GPA Complete 12 hours of community service for each semester of membership OMSI & OMSII Years 5 hours from SSP sponsored events 5 hours from Non-SSP sponsored events 2 hours may fall into either category OMSIII & OMSIV Years 12 hours of any community service Still must report hours at the end of each semester

PROBATION GPA Must bring GPA back up to 3.0 within one semester HOURS Must make up hours not completed IN ADDITION to completing the requirements for the following semester

WHAT CONSTITUTES AN SSP EVENT? Anything that is established as an SSP event by the E-board Must better LECOM and/or the community If event is co-sponsored with another club…. Option to record it as SSP or NON-SSP
