This has been done and if the policy is approved, the Bills will immediately be submitted to Cabinet. -Time scale: mid 2002.

Bill is intended to regulate the promotion and exploitation of indigenous knowledge. -Time scale: mid 2002. - Innovation and Research Promotion Bill (Not to be proceeded with and likely to be replaced with more comprehensive legislation based on National R&D strategy currently being drafted).

Creates a framework for a national institutional network of science centres. It is based on FEST, an existing institution.
