Module 4, Grades 3-5, All of Module 1, Grades 6-8 1.Writing Modes or “Types” - 10 min  Sort strips by type.  Discuss the patterns you notice as a group. 2.Writing from Sources – 5 min  Sort strips by writing that requires using sources vs. writing that does not.  Discuss the patterns you notice as a group. 3.Research to Build and Present Knowledge – 5 min  Sort strips by writing that addresses research standards vs. writing that does not.
