What is emotional intelligence? Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand the perception of emotion, ability to use reason with emotions, understand and manage emotions.

Four Branches of Emotional Intelligence Perceiving emotions consist of understand facial expressions, body language, or nonverbal signals. If someone is frowning how may you perceive how they are feeling? Reasoning with emotions consists of making a decision based on your emotions. Four Branches of Emotional Intelligence Understanding emotions consists of figuring out how you or another person is feeling, and understanding how they will act. If your friend gets on the bus with a mean face on and they yell at you instead of saying hi. What might your friend be feeling? Managing emotions consists of regulating or adjusting your emotions to different situations, and responding appropriately If your upset about getting a bad grade on your exam, should you yell at your teacher about it?
